Board Goals

2020-2021

The Wyomissing Area School District School Board will promote the safety and well-being for all students and staff amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. 

  • Board members will stay up-to-date on COVID-19 facts as supplied by the PA Department of Education and the PA Department of Health.
  • Board members will support the Administrative Team, as needed, to ensure our students and our staff receive the most up-to-date protective measures as set forth by PDE and DOH.
  • Board members will coordinate with the Superintendent and Administration to enhance the District communication plan to provide students, parents, and staff with current information on the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Wyomissing Area School District School Board will work cooperatively and collaboratively with the Superintendent.

  • Board members will meet periodically with the Superintendent to review and discuss the progress made toward annual performance goals.
  • Board members will coordinate with the Superintendent and Administration to outline and execute a comprehensive strategic planning process resulting in the development of a 3-5 year strategic plan for the District.
  • Board members will evaluate effectiveness of committee structure and organization.

The Wyomissing Area School District School Board will foster and promote an inclusive school environment for all students, families, and staff.

  • Implement a District Equity Taskforce with the goal of developing an Equity Action Plan for the District.
  • Monitor survey data to assess mental health needs among students, identification of potential deficits and areas of improvement.

The Wyomissing Area School District School Board will coordinate with the Superintendent and Business Manager to preserve long-term financial stability for our District.

  • Implement regular Facilities Workshops to provide oversight of the building renovation design to balance fiscal awareness with the curriculum needs of the project.
